April 13-Dinner and a Suit with special guests The Deep Space Network and Fire For Hope

Dinner and a Suit will be at Rubicon on Friday, April 13 at 7PM with special guests The Deep Space Network and Fire For Hope.  This is a can’t miss show and it’s only $5!

In a music world where genre lines are increasingly blurred, DINNER AND A SUIT has emerged with a sonic meld that resonates with familiarity, and captivates with distinction.

Formed in New Jersey by cousins Jonathan Capeci and Joey Beretta, the trio—including Anthony Genca—is forging a path that reflects the band’s music itself: putting the right pieces in the right places at all the right times.

Since their formation in 2009, Dinner and a Suit quickly captured attention with their signature pop/rock sound - leading to critical acclaim, a swelling dedication of global fans, and coveted live dates that have included MTV2’s Projekt Revolution, the Vans Warped Tour, and tours throughout the East Coast and Midwest.

The spiraling success fueled Dinner and a Suit to transplant to Nashville in late 2010, where they began work on what would become Since Our Departure - their brand new full-length album.

“We left the comforts of home to pursue this dream,” explains Capeci. “And that definitely comes through on this record.”

To record Since Our Departure, the band split their time between Glow in the Dark Studios in Atlanta with producer Matt Goldman (Anberlin, Underoath), then with Tyler Orr (As Cities Burn, Copeland) at First Street Studios in Cleveland TN.

The resulting work is a range of bold anthems, layered with soaring melodies that are riveting with honesty. Throughout the album’s ten towering tracks, Capeci’s lush timbre weaves universal themes of forgiveness and hope, love and loss, and discovering a place in the world.

“It just poured out of us,” Genca adds. “There’s a lot of passion and energy on this record. It’s an experience that we’re sharing with the listeners in a very real way.”

The Rainbow Project benefit this Friday w/ Hangin’ with Stogie!

Here is a little information about the Rainbow Project. Make sure that you are there this Friday, March 23rd at 7PM as Hangin’ with Stogie takes the stage to benefit The Rainbow Project. We are asking for a minimum donation of $10 (kids 12 and under free).

The Rainbow Projects mission is to have a much needed children’s cancer treatment center in the Fredericksburg area.

The Rainbow Project is based on the belief that our community needs a cancer treatment center for children. Before we can accomplish our goal to have a treatment center in our community we are reaching out to the families and children that have cancer to do whatever it takes to make their lives a little easier.

The Rainbow Project was inspired by a special young lady named Scarlett Funk. For 14 years Scarlett and her family fought a battle that noone should ever have to face alone. Our organization was established in memory of Scarlett and all of the children who have endured such a devastating disease.

How many of you knew that there is no cancer treatment center in Fredericksburg for children? Most children in the area that have cancer have to travel 50 miles or more to receive treatment. Sometimes these treatments and appointments can be long, drawn out and not so close to home. The Rainbow Project is founded to help these children and their families with anything they need from meals, gas cards, grocery cards, running errands, providing things for siblings (games, coloring, puzzles, etc.) or anything else that could be of help. Cancer affects the entire family…not just the patient.

*All proceeds from this event go to The Rainbow Project and their efforts to help those families who are dealing with Cancer*
